Getting around Wollongong’s CBD and university precinct has never been easier. The Free Gong Shuttle runs a continuous loop between Wollongong Station and the University of Wollongong, stopping at key destinations including Wollongong Hospital, Burelli Street, and the Innovation Campus.
Hours of Operation:
Premier operates the North Gong (NG) Shuttle, a free UOW bus service running directly between North Wollongong Train Station and the University of Wollongong campus. This service is available for staudents and staff at UOW.
Routes 9 and 9N make it simple for students, staff and visitors to connect from the train without the hassle of driving or parking at Wollongong Uni. Services run on weekdays, and the UOW shuttle uses fully electric, zero-emissions buses, all low-floor and wheelchair accessible.
For those travelling from the Wollongong CBD, hospital precinct or Innovation Campus, the free Gong Shuttle (routes 55A & 55C) is also available, running frequent loops to and from Wollongong Uni throughout the week and on weekends.

While every effort is made to run services on time, occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, our buses may run behind schedule. You can rest assured that in these instances, every effort will be made to regain timetabled running as soon as possible.
The services shown with a wheelchair symbol in this timetable are scheduled to operate using one of our low floor accessible buses. However, occasionally due to operational requirements we cannot guarantee that the service will operate using a wheelchair accessible bus. Please call the office during business hours to confirm your travel needs.
We suggest you arrive at the bus stop 5 min prior to the published time to allow enough time to find your fare and ensure you have the correct concession entitlement if required.
